Some equipment needs to be put in the air in real circumstances  to be properly tested and give the realistic data we need. For those trial runs we wanted a affordable and easy to put together system. For this we went back to square one where it all started.
Therefore we are now currently  building on a 14-foot rocket which consists mostly of fiberglass and aluminum. The purpose with this simple hybrid rocket is only to test different types of electronic devices during high accelration and altitude.

Inflatable impact attenuation systems (airbag)

In the past month, we have conducted several tests with different brands of airbag cartridges.
We have learned how to handle them during disassembling without harming ourselves. We have fired them to see how effective they are and what disadvantages they have for our purpose of use.
